RAW Basics officially opened its freezer doors to the public in April of 2009 with the intention of helping to improve the health and well being of your canine companions.  We have been growing and improving ever since, and will continue to do so, to bring you the highest quality products available.  More recently, we have begun to provide the same quality products for your feline friends...although ALL carnivores are welcome here!

Not only do we believe a RAW meat based diet is the best you can provide for your carnivorous pets, but we understand that there are several opinions on how to feed.  We are familiar with many of the feeding philosophies, and realize that different people may have different practices.  For this reason, and for your convenience, we try to make our products as versatile as possible.

We are involved in dog sport, as well as show, and we understand what it takes to keep your dog in top shape.

This is what distinguishes us from other companies on the market.  We can provide a solution for nearly all individuals, and customize a diet for your pets' specific needs.

Many years ago, there was an incredible Rottweiler by the name of Meyer.  Everything in Meyer's life was done by the book to ensure health, happiness, and longevity; the routine check-ups, shots, and vaccinations...the veterinary recommended dog food...the spot on tick repellants...the flea collars.  And if ever there was a problem, an immediate vet visit with prescribed antibiotics, pain killers, and medications.  There was no dog better taken care of, or more by the book.

One night Meyer was not himself, not like the times before.  He was immediately taken to several emergency clinics only to find out...Meyer had cancer.  His poor body was riddled with it, taking all hope away.  There was no second chance.

Meyer, the once healthy unstoppable Rottweiler, left this earth with nothing more than a deep sigh.  He passed at the mere age of 6, leaving a grown man heartbroken for many years to come.

"By the book."

Meyer's sire lived to be 16 years old (which is unheard of for a Rottweiler), and apparently not all "by the book."

What the hell is "the book," and what is it's purpose?  Who wrote it?  And who's in charge of updating its contents?

Don't let the same mistakes happen to your loved ones by being uninformed or brainwashed by "the book."  The pet food and health industry is a mulit-billion dollar BUSINESS, whos main goal is to increase profit.  There are many ins, outs, and loop holes, some harmful, that are hidden from the public.

Don't be afraid to question common practices for the benefit of your pets' health.
